The project:
much more than a wine cellar

The project:
much more than a wine cellar

The project of the new Al Monte di Livio winery, currently under construction, includes the recovery of the current winery and the pre-existing rural buildings intended for wine processing. These will be entirely “dressed” by vines and electro-welded wire mesh with the purpose of greening and shading the facades.
At the same time, the main building will be completely reorganized for hosting cooperage, wine shop, tasting area and events.
Structured on three levels, the new winery of Al Monte di Livio is meant to represent the synthesis between man and earth.
Characterized by sensations that are almost palpable, the project aims to recreate the rural environment around the hills of Breganze.
The new volumes of the winery drown and rise from the slopes, in harmony with the verdant landscape, following their natural context.
The light grey natural stone coverings of the facades, the string courses and the roofs are all covered in corten steel and they emphasize the natural look
of the building.
The internal space melts with the outer environment, thanks to the large windows which grant a continuity with the flourishing surrounding nature.
A majestic iron staircase connects each floor, skylight and inner windows allow the spaces to interact and create an architectural continuum rich of natural light and rural atmosphere.
